This front engine guard, a sacrificial item, is designed to help prevent and mitigate expensive damage from occurring to your drivetrain components in the event of an accident. Constructed of beefy steel and powder coated for a smart, durable appearance, these crash bars can help prevent delicate engine, transmission, and primary components from the severe damage that can occur when a motorcycle first contacts the pavement.

After the initial impact, the Delrin® sliders provide a surface that reduces friction. In a loss-of-control event, this sliding is desirable; plain steel can "dig in" to pavement, causing the motorcycle to flip. The sliders are replaceable (P/N) 103-0020), so minor mishaps come with minor costs.
